Give Help to Those in Need!
Welcome to the AH PA Chapter's virtual food drive! We are excited to partner with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank in the fight against hunger. Since the start of the pandemic, the Food Bank has been gathering every possible resource to provide food and supplies to all who need it.
Our African Heritage PA Chapter has often partnered with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank in the past to help drive their initiative in our communities. In previous years, we have worked with this organization in person but due to the pandemic, this is our way of contributing in the absence of being able to participate in person.
Our contribution goal is $5,000!
More kids, parents, and seniors in our community are going hungry as a result of the pandemic. Those who were already struggling face even greater challenges — not only to be fed, but to stay healthy. Nourishing food is the most basic need for our vulnerable neighbors. Your gift to the food bank will help the team to:
- Distribute crisis response boxes filled with healthy, non-perishable food across their network
- Provide food boxes to homebound, at-risk seniors who can't leave home to purchase groceries
- Deploy mobile food pantries to high-need areas of our community
- Partner with schools to feed families who have lost access to school meals
