2022 Virtual Food Drive

PPRS and PRSA Central PA Chapter

Please join us in the fight to end hunger in our community.

The Pennsylvania Public Relations Society (PPRS) and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Central PA Chapter are coming together to support those in need in our communities. That's why we have chosen to support the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, one of the largest charitable food providers in Pennsylvania - and where our member, Amy Hill, provides communications expertise.

Over the years, we know you all have been extremely generous in your causes and, most recently, in funding the Ken Robinson Memorial Scholarship. We can't thank you enough for your generosity.  As we gather for our annual holiday social on December 7, it is important to continue the charitable commitment that has traditionally been a part of the PPRS/PRSA Joint Holiday Social. A small donation goes a long way.

In the wake of the pandemic, more than 337,000 people in central Pennsylvania are still making impossible choices between buying groceries and paying for other critical expenses such as housing, medication, and childcare.

We can ensure our neighbors don’t have to make these tough choices. Because we believe in the Food Bank’s mission of fighting hunger, improving lives and strengthening communities, we have decided to help. We have launched a Virtual Food Drive to raise needed funds for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. Your gift will help:

  • Provide food boxes to homebound, at-risk seniors who can't leave home to purchase groceries
  • Deploy mobile food pantries to high-need areas of our community
  • Partner with schools to feed families through School Pantry and Backpack programs

Thank you for supporting this important charity.
